Christmas in Cheam Village usually starts with a late night shopping evening for local residents where shops stay open until late, the lights officially get turned on and, more recently, a great variety of stalls have been located in Station Way offering a huge range of choice and opportunities to get their Christmas shopping done.

In the last few years, thousands of people have come to Cheam Village on the first Friday of December for 'Cheam Village Christmas', organised on behalf of Cheam Traders Association. Visitors have browsed the stalls, popped in to local shops and watched performances from many local groups. In recent years the Christmas lights have been switched on by local comedian Tim Vine, drawing huge crowds and there has been free entertainment for children too, courtesy of sponsors and Council grants.

Covid-19 has had an impact on events everywhere and so Christmas in 2020 has had to take on a different, online format but still continues to offer visitors lots of choice and opportunities to get your Christmas sorted!

We hope that you will enjoy browsing all the festive gifts and offers from our local traders from the comfort (and warmth!) of home and do hope that you will support them this year once again.
